Better Houseware 3423 Compact Dish Drainer Set, Stainless

Better Houseware 3423 Compact Dish Drainer Set, Stainless

While pricey at $26.99, this compact dish drainer is very good quality and the perfect size for my Mom's sink. My Mom recently moved into a smaller place, a cottage, and her sink was smaller than the normal sized sink. She needed a small dish drainer, one which did not take up the entire area of her sink. This drainer was perfect! We wanted it inside the sink, so the plastic bottom tray was removed, and we saved it, thinking she could use it as serving tray of sorts.

The dimensions of the dish drainer are small, so she's able to wash dishes to the right of it and then places the washed dishes to drain on the left side. It's perfect for a person who lives alone, like she does. I searched and searched stores, as well as various other ones on line (Amazon made it very easy for me to search and compare what was out there), but this one was the perfect selection for her. It shipped quickly and it's very good quality, obviously, I highly recommend it, you won't be sorry. :)

Space conserving dish drainer takes up very little space on counter and can also fit in most sinks. The dish rack is ideal for apartments, office, dorms, RVs and other small areas. Dishes drain quickly in this compact stainless steel draining rack with clear plastic detachable cutlery holder and bottom tray. This dish drainer gives you enough drying capacity for 12 dinner plates and cutlery.

Dish Rack : Polder 6118-75 Stainless Steel Dish Rack with Reversible Drainer/Catch

I bought this dishrack about 8 months ago. I began renting an apartment that had all stainless steel appliances so I wanted a good quality dish rack to match. After using it for several months I've had time to figure out what I like about it and what things are possible problems.

Dish Rack : Dish Rack Drainer Utensil holder and Drain board, Stainless

I needed a larger stainless dish rack and wanted to do away with plastic trays forever. But if you've also been doing dish rack research, you know that a good rack is hard to find! Initially I was drawn to the SimpleHuman line, as I have one of their stainless soft close garbage cans, and LOVE it. But after seeing some of the racks in Target and other stores, I changed my mind due to the amount of plastic accenting their otherwise fine designs.

Enter the Zojila rack. Hoo, it's expensive! But on the plus size, it's spacious (2 adults in my household) enough for a day's worth of dishes, sturdy enough to withstand dish pyramids, clears the counter by 2 inches, drains water as described, is easy to clean, and looks BOTH practical and sophisticated - I mean, how "stunning" can a dish rack look, really? Although I am still waiting for the day when someone comes over and gushes over it, like I would if I saw it in someone else's kitchen for the first time. But I'm a nerd.

I'm very satisfied with my rack and am looking no further. However, a few cons made me give 4 stars instead of 5, mostly having to do with initial set up. Specifically, I had to do some metal fabricating to get the rack properly balanced on the drain board. Further pounding was required to fashion a slope so that water would drain off the board. Also, like another reviewer, I have lost a small glass to the end that has a wide opening - although this can be prevented by moving the utensil rack in front of the opening.

All in all, I am quite pleased and would buy this rack again. Just be ready to receive yours with a rubber hammer.

Dish Rack : Norpro Wood Folding Dish Rack

Very disappointing. The description said it was made of hardwood, so we ordered it to replace an older one bought at a department store. Upon receiving and inspecting the item it was discovered that it was not made of hardwood as advertized but of pine, actually we could smell it!. Futhermore, the wood was not finished at all (lacquered) to protect it from wet dishes. Also the workmanship was pretty poor. So we returned it.

Its wood and held together w/ little nails. Its going to fall apart. I'm replacing mine tonight. I had it for 6 years. Yes I glued it w/ wood glue back together again after a couple of years. Its not going to be something you pass down to your grandchildren. It holds and dries dishes. Compared to the cheap, ugly, plastic one this rocks. Like I said if you're slightly handy this will last awhile and look much cooler than the wire one you can get at Wal-Mart.

Dish Rack : Polder 6115-75 Compact Stainless-Steel Dish Rack with

Narrow enough to fit smaller sinks yet roomy enough to accommodate up to 14 plates, saucers, or a host of other freshly washed dishes, this compact dish rack unites style with function to expert results. The unit's 18/8-grade stainless-steel construction resists corrosion even under continually damp circumstances, which in turn protects dishes and glassware from transferred rust or discoloration. Even more, the dish rack features a two-slot mesh cutlery basket, which can be removed and carried to the silverware drawer for convenience when putting away dry forks, spoons, knives, and other utensils. Finally, an included stainless-steel drip-tray with side rims neatly collects water run-off, preventing it from pooling on countertops and dripping onto the floor. An energy-efficient choice well suited to apartments, RVs, boats, cabins, and dorms alike, the compact dish rack measures 14 by 6-1/2 by 5 inches.

This is the perfect size for single/couple, holds about 6 fullsize dishes, couple desert/salad dishes/cereal bowls, a weeks worth of silverware simultaneously, but not very good for glassware or coffee cups, but that is okay. Everyone who sees it comments on how cute it is, but says that it would be too small for them: well they just need to wash their dishes more frequently, instead of letting old crusty dishes pile up in sink. The bottom steel drain rack may or may not be stainless steel: when your plates drip into it, it dries with thick water spots, and I can see small amount of rust/oxidation where rack legs rest on drip tray, after many months of usage. Dont want to use abrasive cleaner or 3M pads to clean this off, but I may have too. Not a fatal design flaw, but I wish this didnt happen. Even fits inside most sinks to save counter space. I may even buy another one if this one spots and rusts too much, anyways...
